Users can view the latest version of the Agreement within UC Messenger. If you do not accept the modified terms, please discontinue using UC Messenger's services immediately. Continued use will be deemed as acceptance of the revised Agreement.
Unless you have fully read, understood, and accepted all terms of this Agreement, you are not authorized to use this software or related services. By clicking "Agree," "Next," or completing the registration process after reading and accepting this Agreement, or by using the service in any other manner permitted by UC Messenger, you are deemed to have read and agreed to be bound by this Agreement. This Agreement constitutes a legally binding document between you and UC Messenger.
If you are under 18 years of age, please read this Agreement under the guidance of a legal guardian, paying special attention to the terms regarding minors.
1. Definitions and Scope of the Agreement
- 1.1 This Agreement governs your download, installation, use, and login of this software, as well as your use of the services provided.
- 1.2 The specific content of the services is provided as-is, including but not limited to enabling communication and interaction between users (as displayed on UC Messenger). UC Messenger reserves the right to modify or terminate any features or content without prior notice.
- 1.3 "User" refers to any natural person, legal entity, or organization that accepts and agrees to all terms of this Agreement and other rules published by UC Messenger.
2. Registration and Account Management
- 2.1 By registering or using the service, you confirm that you possess full legal capacity. If you lack such capacity, you and your guardian shall bear all consequences, and UC Messenger reserves the right to terminate your account and seek compensation.
- 2.2 You may register using methods permitted by UC Messenger. Misleading, fraudulent, or infringing registrations are prohibited. UC Messenger may revoke such accounts without notice.
- 2.3 Account ownership belongs to UC Messenger. The initial registrant retains usage rights, which are non-transferable. Violations may result in account termination and data loss.
- 2.4 You are responsible for safeguarding your account and password. Unauthorized use must be reported immediately. UC Messenger is not liable for losses due to unauthorized access unless required by law or judicial order.
3. User Information Protection
- 3.1 Protecting personal information is a core principle. UC Messenger collects, uses, stores, and shares data per this Agreement and the UC Messenger Privacy Policy.
- 3.2 Required information must be accurate and complete. Incomplete or false information may restrict service access.
- 3.3 UC Messenger employs security measures to protect your data from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure.
- 3.4 Personal information will not be disclosed to third parties unless:
- (1) Required by law or authorities;
- (2) Necessary for mergers, acquisitions, or asset transfers;
- (3) Essential for service provision;
- (4) Permitted by the UC Messenger Privacy Policy or other agreements.
- 3.5 Minors must obtain guardian consent before using the service.
4. User Conduct Guidelines
- 4.1 The software may consume device resources (e.g., bandwidth). Users are responsible for associated data costs.
- 4.2 Certain features may require device permissions. Opting out may limit functionality.
- 4.3 UC Messenger strives to ensure data security but cannot guarantee it. Users are advised to back up data. Termination of service may result in permanent data deletion.
- 4.4 Risks include device-software mismatches, third-party website content, and unstable network connections.
- 4.5 Location-based or social features require consent to share relevant data. Users are solely responsible for interactions and verifying others' authenticity.
5. Content Standards
- 5.1 Users are solely responsible for uploaded content, including text, images, videos, and links.
- 5.2 Prohibited content includes:
- (1) Violations of national laws or constitutional principles;
- (2) Threats to national security or unity;
- (3) Ethnic hatred, discrimination, or religious intolerance;
- (4) Pornography, violence, or criminal incitement;
- (5) Fraudulent, harassing, or privacy-infringing material.
- 5.3 Users must not facilitate illegal activities, data scraping, or unauthorized access to UC Messenger systems.
6. Intellectual Property
- 6.1 UC Messenger owns all software-related intellectual property (e.g., copyrights, trademarks). Unauthorized use, modification, or distribution is prohibited.
- 6.2 The UC Messenger logo and branding are protected trademarks. Unauthorized use is forbidden.
- 6.3 User-uploaded content remains their property but grants UC Messenger a global, non-exclusive license for service-related use.
- 6.4 UC Messenger may use your name or logo for promotional purposes to indicate your association with the platform.
7. Disclaimer
- UC Messenger is not liable for service interruptions due to force majeure (e.g., natural disasters, wars).
- Users assume all risks related to internet security, including malware or phishing attacks.
- UC Messenger does not guarantee error-free service, timely defect resolution, or fulfillment of all user requests.
- Liability is capped at fees paid (if any) for UC Messenger services.
8. Device Security
- 8.1 Users must protect their devices from malware and unauthorized access. UC Messenger is not liable for device breaches due to user negligence.
- 8.2 Malicious programs targeting UC Messenger accounts or data are prohibited.
- 8.3 Maintaining software security is a shared responsibility between UC Messenger and users.
- 8.4 Users should verify financial requests and be aware of fraud prevention measures.
9. Violations and Compensation
- 9.1 UC Messenger may delete content, suspend accounts, or pursue legal action for violations.
- 9.2 Users agree to indemnify UC Messenger for losses caused by their actions, including legal fees.
10. Miscellaneous
- Continued use after Agreement updates constitutes acceptance. Disputes shall be resolved through negotiation or litigation in UC Messenger's jurisdiction.
- Section headings are for convenience only and do not affect interpretation.
- Invalid clauses do not void the remaining Agreement.
- Unauthorized rights remain reserved by UC Messenger.
